Abstract

One of the elements examined by the analytic practice is the opposition between meaning and jouissance, this guides the question: Which status should be given to defense? This question ought to be carried out in the lacaniana orientation and, particularly, in the practice with children, taking into account the so-called serious subjective disorders such as autism and psychosis. In this sense, I reflect on the types of defense, if any: When to intervene on them and how? I make use of a case report in order to examine what an intervention intended to disturb defense would be.
