In this paper, we present the results of the doctoral thesis named "The Clinic of Autism and the Practice among Several", carried out in the Department of Psychoanalysis at University of Paris VIII. We study autism by following as unifying thread the clinic and its effects. We are based on the first psychiatric and psychoanalytic researches, on Lacan's teaching, and on the concepts elaborated by some Lacanian psychoanalysts. We also tackle a clinical practice in institution, the "practice among several", result of this teaching. Finally, we briefly expose two testimonies by autistic subjects who were able to match up their jouissance and open up to the social bond by means of their own inventions, without leaving autism.
