Approaches from psychoanalysis to the enigmatic encounter with the object-drug

This article proposes a reflection on the drug-dependency clinic based on the case analysis of a male user in voluntary hospitalization for the consumption of opioids and other drugs. This analysis is carried out based on the mystical experience in the enigmatic encounter with the drug-object, as well as the link between the user and the psychoactive substance based on what Freud described as derealization. As a conclusion, the relationship between these defense mechanisms and the materialization of this link as a choice of a narcissistic type object is this discussed.
