Se trabajarán en este texto dos tiempos que plantearán una reflexión en torno al tema del niño y la muerte. En un primer momento se abordará la muerte de un niño y los efectos que ésta tiene en su entorno, teniendo en cuenta que en la Edad Moderna, a diferencia de otras épocas, se le ha dado al niño un lugar fundamental en la estructura familiar y en el discurso de los padres.
En el segundo tiempo se trabajará la relación del niño con su propia muerte, de la cual crea elaboraciones imaginarias y simbólicas que le permiten aproximarse a esa verdad, a pesar de ser muchas veces excluido de ella por quienes lo rodean.
