SUMMARY
At the same time as observing the deadly effects left by the destruction, amidst suffering, art emerges as a way to express what has been experienced but not put into words. Betting on art as a construct that can give an outline to traumatic suffering, the aim of this paper is to analyze the works produced as possibilities for subjective elaboration in the face of trauma, with an emphasis on the 2011 Japanese tragedy. Through artistic creation, it is possible to find ways to deal with this trauma by fictionalizing it, in contexts shaped by the effects of natural disasters, as seen in Japan.
