Abstract

This article is the product of the pilot exercise that was developed within the project “Artistic and Pedagogical Practices of Resistance,” which was implemented during the second semester of 2016. The research involved 17 youths between 15 and 18 years old, students of the 10th grade of the Rural School Quiba Alta IED, located in Quiba, in the neighborhood of Ciudad Bolívar, in Bogotá. The project is part of the research group
Especies de Espacios (Species of Spaces), linked to the program of Visual Arts at the Pontificia Universidad
Javeriana’s campus in Bogotá. As professionals in the artistic field, we question ourselves about the spaces in which our pedagogical practice and its intentions are developed in relation to social impact, specifically in the context in which our practices are valid. We are a group of researchers trained in various disciplines, interested in the pedagogy of art. From the experience of artistic teaching, the aim of the project is to propose new tactics based on the concept of fantasy as an agent of resistance. These tactics aspire to be
inserted into existing models of education, in which the teaching-learning relationship is thought of as a practice of reflection and conscience that aims at the freedom of the young people involved. Likewise, it is expected to vindicate the importance of the kind of arts that are developed within the integral school education.
