Abstract: Bakhtin affirms that the category of dialogism belongs to the novel and at the same time denies its relation to drama. Carrasquilla's narrative writing is a powerfuk exercise of dialogism, but the dialogical narrativity of the novel is constantly harassed by the ghosts of dialogue and theatrical scenes. This article aims to show the hybrid condition of Carrasquilla's narrative. Furthermore, it proposes the hypothesis that the theatrical scene is incorporated by the author into the texture of novel writing, in a process of dramatization of the text novel which goes against the process of novelization of all genres established by Bakhtin.
Key words: Novel; Drama; Dialogism and dramatization.
