Desarrollo de la trova antioqueña

Este artículo pretende demostrar de qué manera la trova antioqueña es un tipo de poesía oral improvisada cuyo valor estético se basa en elementos característicos - la controversia, lo rural, la tradición y lo popular. Estos son elementos que resultan de una serie de procesos históricos locales -en especial el proceso migratorio experimentado por la ciudad de Medellín a lo largo de la primera mitad del siglo XX y acentuado a finales de la década del cuarenta.

Abstract: This article aims to show how the trova antioqueña (Antioquean rural song) is a kind of oral poetry constituted by controversy, rural life, traditions and popularity. These elements arose from a series of a local historical processes, specially the migration from rural areas to Medellín city from the beginning of the 20th century until the 1940's.
