Abstract: The article uses a theoretical and methodological conception based on some pragmatics points of view such as the implications generated by conversational maxims, indirect speech acts (ISA), maxims of courtesy and verbal interactions. It defends the pertinence to interpret literary texts with the abduction theory and applies it to García Márquez' short story "One of these days", by formulating hypothesis and finally both deductive an inductive processes.
