This essay aims to analyze the role of the Witch of San Antero as projection, double or alter ego of Genoveva Alcocer, main protagonist of the novel La tejedora de coronas by Germán Espinosa. The intervention of the witch exteriorizes the didactic intention of the novel and its ideological position on history to demystify it and challenge the power. The witch also allows you to accentuate the fatal woman which represents Genoveva
