literary criticism, literary history, cultural memory, Latin American literature, Colombian literatureAbstract
This conference is centered on the critical method developed by Carlos Rincón throughout his academic endeavors. At the beginning of his work, metaphor was a trope that generated change in poetics and culture. Later on, constellations of ideas took metaphors to a new and more complex level of connections. They show the way he acknowledges change and the need to renew theory from the perspective of a history of the present in its concrete forms that were also the concrete forms of his own life and displacements.
