La estética de la fealdad en Tomás Carrasquilla

Resumen: El propósito del siguiente escrito es examinar desde el punto de vista de la estética de lo feo algunas de las obras de Carrasquilla donde las caracterizaciones de los personajes, la concepción del paisaje, las oposiciones y contradicciones, permiten develar desde el ser de los personajes y la sociedad un realismo desmitificador que conmueve e impacta el receptor. Posición conciente en Carrasquilla que lo hizo mover en una corriente contraria a una parte de la crítica literaria de la época.

Abstract: Departing from a theoretical framework based on the aesthetic of the ugly, the purpose of the following article is to examine some woks by Tomás Carrasquilla where the depiction of characters, the conception of the landscape, oppositions and contradictions allow to reveal an unmystifying realism which shocks the reader. The author was plenty aware that with this aesthetic position he was moving against the major literary criticism of his times.
