La nueva macroeconomía: varios protagonistas

Mediante una exposición fundamentalmente gráfica, el artículo intenta hacer una reconstrucción del pensamiento macroeconómico de los últimos cuarenta o cincuenta años, desde el multiplicador keynesiano hasta más allá de las expectativas racionales. En la sección I se desarrolla el modelo keynesiano tradicional; en la sección II, éste se modifica ligeramente, al responder a la pregunta de Timbergen sobre los factores que motiva al Gobierno; en las secciones III y IV se discute la existencia de una tasa natural de desempleo y, finalmente, se examina la literatura más reciente en el campo macroeconómico.
