Minería, comercio y sociedad en Antioquia, 1760-1800

• Resumen: En este trabajo se propone una alternativa metodológica diferente para explicar las condiciones históricas mediante las cuales se constituye y se ejerce el poder en Antioquia al final del período colonial, las que serán reconocidas posteriormente corno configuradoras de la regionalidad. La articulación minería-comercio es el espacio en el cual se desarrolló este proceso. Aquí nos ocupamos del análisis de las condiciones en la actividad minera y las relaciones económicas, políticas y sociales que le corresponden.
• Abstract: This paper proposes an alternative methodology to explain the historical conditions for the constitution and exercise of power at the end of Antioquia’s colonial period Those same conditions which are going to be subsequently acknowledged as giving a region's shape to Antioquia. The minig-trade articulation is the space where this process develops. Attention is paid to the analysis of the mining activities and its corresponding economic, political and social relations.
