ABSTRACT Gadamer abandons the instrumental perspective of language when he analyzes the “linguistic essence”. The author emphasizes a wide range of characteristics, and includes the unconscious relation between subjects and language: We are in the middle of language and we thematize it when we have understandings difficulties. Gadamer shows the “absence of I (ego)” in language with a game participation case, where an adjustment to the rules controls the speaker one. The language universality surrounds everything, and in that way language constitutes the center of humankind. We are actively immersed in language, which means that we can ponder it, think about and elaborate concepts so we can reorder our interpretations, to comprehend –undertandDownloads
