Keywords:
Family, Social Work, Family Organization, myths and rituals, therapeutic systemAbstract
This article refers to the work with families as a challenge for professionals in different areas, due to their constant changes and difficulties. Considering the family as the primary context in which the individual makes his first socialization, initiates his learning processes of culture and rules of coexistence, it is necessary when facing crises and conflictive situations to take into account the specific family dynamics. The importance of the family group and its influence on the behavior of individuals is so clear that more and more professionals from different disciplines (educators, social workers, doctors, psychiatrists, psychologists) turn to families to help change individual difficulties. To develop the theme, the article is divided into three parts, the first deals with basic issues about what is and how the family is organized, it tries to argue, why families are similar, and the reason why it is difficult for professionals to work with them, the second part focuses on describing the myths and rituals in families, which are evident in its structure, Finally, the third part refers to the author's conclusions that allow us to understand or reflect that working with families is to create a therapeutic system in which the family system and the professional system move forward together, in cooperation to achieve certain objectives.
