Decline of humanities and the possibility of democracy

This article problematizes the decline of teaching humanities in contemporary universities, noted by Martha nussbaum, in the claim to debate the role of the humanities in the consolidation of a democracy open to the recognition of emerging human diversity, their place in the production of stories about representation of pluralities and diversities, and future risks in the education of super specialized technical experts under minimalist citizenships (without ways of representation of diversities), and the threats this pose for the maintenance of a pluralistic democracy.
