Métodos de evaluación del Nivel de Actividad Física: revisión de literatura

Resumen

La actividad física ha demostrado tener un impacto favorable sobre la salud tanto a escala individual como poblacional, por este motivo es necesario conocer el nivel de actividad física y emprender acciones en pro de mejorar la salud pública. El objetivo de este artículo es realizar una descripción de los métodos disponibles para evaluar el nivel de actividad física, sus costos, practicidad, validez y confiabilidad, impacto y usos. Teniendo en cuenta la revisión presentada se hace un llamado a usar adecuadamente estos métodos de evaluación y a continuar investigando sobre los avances tecnológicos que se presenten en cada uno de estos métodos.
