Abstract

Aim: analyze the pull in Ultimate Frisbee, to identify phases and kinematic variables of the technical gesture. Method: cross - sectional descriptive pilot study for which a male high performance athlete was selected. The technical action of an effective attempt to pull was described in phases by video analysis. Descriptive analysis was done with the software Kinovea 8.15. Results: analysis allowed established 6 phases, with a specific description of athlete’s movements for the effective launch. About kinematic vari a bles, and in contrast to the revised theory, similar valu es were found to angle of the Frisbee. Conclussion: teaching sports technique must be supported by evidence obtained through research. This study contributes to the methodological discussion on the teaching of technique, in this case the release pull.
