Abstract

Aims: To determine the impact of a intervention program about gross motor skills, in children's first, second and third Basic of the Liceo Abdon Cifuentes of Conchalí commune, Santiago of Chile. Method: The test was applied TGMD-2 pre and post intervention. Results: These indicate that there were percentage increases in the number of children who presented a level of average motor or on the average post intervention, as well as also a percentage decrease in three courses in girls/boys in the ranks under the average, poor and very poor post intervention. There were significant increases in averages of the standard results, quotient of motricity, locomotor age between pre and post test in children of three courses, while the driving age of control objects presented significant increases only among children of three courses, not in girls. Conclusion: It is possible to point out that sixteen sessions of a program of intervention driving leads to significant improvements in the level of development of the motor skills of locomotion and control of object in boys and girls of the Liceo Abdon Cifuentes.
