Correlation between the explosive force of the lower train and the agility in the futsal

Abstract

Objective: Correlating the explosive strength of the inferior train and the agility in the soccer players of the Pedagogic and Technological University of Colombia, Chiquinquirá section.
Method: Correlational descriptive study with non-probabilistic sampling, at convenience. Sample consisting of 15 players of 55.5 ± 6.9 kg, height of 158.6 ± 5.9 cm and age of 20.33 ± 2.5 years, who performed two tests: agility (Illinois) and power (Bosco) ) using 3 Abalakov jumps (ABK), Counter-movement (CMJ), Squat Jump (SJ). Results: In the agility test (19.1 ± 1.22sec), 13 players have average agility, 1 above average and 1 excellent, according to the test's assessment table. In the Bosco test, in the ABK jump the athletes had an average power
of 1873.46 ± 231.48 watts, the SJ 1666.13 ± 226.17 watts and the CMJ 1699.80 ± 172.99 watts. A p≤0.05 was used. The correlation between agility and jumps yielded data for the CMJ of r = -0.172 and p value of 0.541, which shows a low relation between the variables, without statistical significance. For the SJ, in relation to agility, a r = -0.52 and a p value of 0.855 were found, indicating that there is no relationship between agility and explosive force, given that their relationship values are negligible, and with the ABK also does not exist an association relation, since the obtained r was of 0.75 and the p value of 0.790, reason why the null hypothesis in all the cases is accepted. Conclusion: There is no correlation between the explosive strength of the lower train and the agility in this population.
