Abstract

Problem: the sport form is the result of the interaction of physical, physiological factors (conditional physical capacities), technical, tactical, psychological and theoretical factors that determine the performance of an athlete. Although in sports training the importance of achieving, maintaining and improving sports form is recognized, in the specialized literature there are large conceptual and methodological gaps regarding this concept and how to achieve this purpose. Objective: to prepare and present a proposal for evaluating the sports form applied to judo and adaptable to sports performance in general. Method: in order to obtain a measure of sporting form, the valid and reliable measurement of each of the aforementioned factors was reviewed in the specialized literature, as well as the ideal values established for elite athletes, in order to compare them and calculate the degree of development in which an athlete is. Results: based on data, a table was prepared with relative weights of each factor (determined by consulting qualified coaches), adaptation percentage and development percentile in which an athlete is found. Conclusion: the processes of sports training, especially at the level of high performance and high achievements, should be structured based on what has been reported by advanced studies from the different sciences concerned with their study, and by research in the specific context . In the present work, a review and analysis of the specialized literature on the subject was carried out, based on which the proposal was designed, which must be tested to ensure its validity.
