Abstract

The prevention of injuries is a pillar of the intervention of professionals such as physical trainers, graduates in physical education and physiotherapists in professional football teams in which the incidence of injuries is sought in the performance of the neuromuscular components and engines involved in sports performance. Objective: to formulate a proposal of protocol of prevention of injuries by skill in professional soccer players, from a systematic review of literature. Method: The review was done in indexed scientific databases with the MeSH terms: rehabilitation, training, injuries, sports medicine, prevention, soccer. Results: It was evidenced that the prevention of injuries implies specific skills such as race, strength, flexibility, balance, proprioception, speed, agility, jumping and power, which guarantee the reduction of risk of muscular, ligamentous and joint injuries. Conclusion: the joint work between physical preparation and physiotherapy, results in the creation of injury prevention protocols that guarantee the adequate performance and sporting status of professional soccer players, which will lead to an increase in the possibilities of obtaining national and international sports titles.
