Information policies in technological higher education in Mexico

Abstract

The aim of this research was to identify the tools/documents of information policy that were developed for higher technological education and to identify the degree to which they had been implemented in the information centers that make up the National System of Technological Education (SNET). It uses the assessment tool “Method for evaluating the libraries of institutions of higher education in the Central West region of ANUIES”, and the state of Morelos as a sample. We conclude that the policy documents find themselves at different stages of development, implementation, and evaluation. We recommend broadening their dissemination and application.
