Abstract

An ethnomedical survey was developed in the town of Sabanalarga (Atl·ntico), Colombia; it was reported theuse of 78 plant species belonging to 51 families, to treatment of several diseases. Most used plants wereEucaliptosglobulos L (Myrthaceae), Mentaviridis L (Labiatae), Ocimunbasilicum L (Labiatae), Lippiagraveolens HBK (Verbenaceae), Petiveriaallicea L (Phytolaceae), Plantagomajor L (Plantaginaceae), andJatrophagossyprifolia L (Euphorbiaceae). On the other hand, Ocimunbasilicum L (Labiatae) and Verbenalitoralis L were used to a wide variety of diseases.
