LANGUAGE, WORD, SPEECH IN JACQUES LACAN’S TEACHING

This article is the result of the analysis of two Lacan’s statements in Seminar 3 in which he differentiates between language, word and speech. The results presented here intend to report that difference, by defining the structure and the rules of each aspect of the symbolic dimension. The author also tries to define the special features of the subject and the Other from the language, word and speech aspects. This research is limited to Lacan’s first contributions (1953-1958).
