Abstract

Hernando Tejada (1924 - 1998) develops a work in multiple directions that makes it very difficult to frame it in the usual schemes of art. The frequent connection attributed to him with Pop Art is not adequate. Instead, the poetics of magical realism is proposed to discuss its relationship with reality and its working systems, in particular the links with everyday life and the debates between art and crafts.
