Abstract

In order to approach videodance, either as an observer or creator, it is convenient to understand that before that there were both ideological and technical development processes that preceded what is currently being considered under that term. Although the field of video dance seems new and unexplored, in Latin America its production does not stop growing, allowing its inclusion in the international market. A brief look at the history and an interview with the dancer, director and videodance curator Silvina Szperling aims to clarify this concept that is increasingly established in the different art salons, and the new proposals of contemporary art

Author Biography

Andrés Felipe Mejía López, University of Antioquia

Bachelor of dance from the University of Antioquia, technician in video editing and digital photography. He works as a full professor at the same university. She took the course "Cameras dancers. Videodance course" (Higher studies at the International School of Film and Television in San Antonio de los Baños-Cuba 2011). His first video dance creation MOVIDOS has participated in different festivals around the world (Germany, Argentina, Colombia, Cuba, France, Mexico and the United States).
