La Virgen de los sicarios: entre el encanto literario y la frustración fílmica

Resumen: El presente artículo de investigación expone un estudio de la adaptación cinematográfica de la novela colombiana La Virgen de los sicarios realizada por el director iraní Barbet Schroeder. Para ello se basa en algunas teorías fílmicas y presta especial interés a aspectos propios de los lenguajes literarios y cinematográficos puestos en la escena de la adaptación, tales como el guión, la narración, la ficción, lo documental, el narrador, el punto de vista, el plano, la secuencia, entre otros aspectos que ayudan a precisar el análisis de la presente adaptación.

Abstract: This is a study of Barbet Schroeder´s film adaptation of the Colombian novel La virgen de los sicarios by Fernando Vallejo. Based on various film theories and with the aim of producing an effective analysis of the relationship novel-film, it pays special attention to some aspects of literary and cinema languages that appear in the film such as: script, narration, documentary, narrator, point of view, and sequence, among others.
