La risa del cuervo: fragmentos de un viejo libro

El artículo ofrece una lectura de la novela de Álvaro Miranda La risa del cuervo en la que se explora su pertenencia a la categoría genérica de la Novela Histórica o, mejor, Nueva Novela Histórica. Se describe la utilización que el texto hace del discurso histórico produciendo efectos sobre la manera como autor y lector se enfrentan al pasado. Finalmente, se valora el uso que la novela hace de una estructura de composición que le permite establecer relaciones internas y externas de considerable contenido simbólico.

Abstract: This article discusses the belonging of Alvaro Miranda´s novel La Risa del Cuervo (The Laugh of the Crow), to the generic category of the Historical Novel, or even better, the New Historical Novel. The author describes how the novel approaches the historic discourse producing some effects about how the author and the reader face the past. And finally, it appreciates how the novel uses a composition structure that allows establishing internal and external relations with a significant symbolic matter.
