Relationship between word and image in Medias dulces by Ivar Da Coll

This article deals with the semiotic and hypertextual relationship between image and word in the children’s book Medias dulces by Ivar Da Coll. For this, we consider the concept of Eco sign, the relationship between index, icon and symbol, by Peirce, developed by Debray, and Greimas’ actancial model is also considered. This analysis seeks to clarify how the relation between image and word unfolds to unravel intrinsic meanings of the text, in order to delve into the interpretative exercise of the literary work
