Poetry and forced displacement in Colombia (1958-1974): the case of Helcías Martán Góngora

En la segunda mitad del siglo xx Colombia comienza a experimentar de manera rápida, ascendente (y también tardía) las dinámicas propias de la modernidad capitalista. Su irrupción, como es bien sabido ya, coincide con el cruento enfrentamiento entre campesinos liberales y conservadores, conflicto este que, historiográficamente hablando, es hoy triste y eufemísticamente recordado como el periodo de “La Violencia” (1948-1958). Una vez finalizado dicho periodo, el panorama sociopolítico y económico del país se vería marcado entonces por un despojo y abandono de tierras, dando así paso a la instauración, por parte de los grandes latifundistas, de una economía (agro)industrial que, por un lado, dio por muerta cualquier posibilidad de una Reforma Agraria Integral y que, por otro, condujo al surgimiento de guerrillas rurales como las Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia (farc-ep), el Ejército de Liberación Nacional (eln) , el Ejército Popular de Liberación (epl), entre otros, y al conflicto entre estos y el Ejército y la Policía nacionales.
