The poetic of Rojas Herazo is part of a historical, political, and cultural panorama defined by the emergence and difficult consolidation of Colombian society and its modernizing processes, and by the crisis and dissolution of the conservative tradition. A line whose formative stage covers the years 1940 and 1951 and precedes the publication of his poetry books. Based on the tracking of his poems published in the regional and capital press and their critical assessment, we will review the conditions of emergence and reception of the author’s early lyrics in the “piedracielistas” and “americanistas” framework debate in the 40s'.
