José Eustasio Rivera died on December 1, 1928, at a polyclinic hospital in New York, leaving behind several unfinished projects and a large collection of documents that constitute the testimony of his life and creative process. The purpose of this study is to tell the story of these documents from the moment they were left behind by the author until the present day. Behind this effort of search and unification of the Rivera archive, I intend, on the one hand, to leave written and organized record of the documents that belonged to him and are accessible today, and, on the other hand, to establish the genetic dossier of The Vortex.
