Stator fault diagnosis in induction motors using the leakage axial flux

This work shows the importance of a predictive maintenance program, the diagnosis techniques and the experimental results obtained from the measurement of the leakage axial flux to diagnosis in order to detect stator winding faults in induction motors. The types of coils designed to capture the axial flux signal and economic considerations to implement this diagnosis technique are also described.
