ABSTRACT In this article, case markers referring to localization in wã´ nsöjöt (puinave) are described and analysed in three contexts: positioning entities (objects) on a background (L), marking core arguments of the verb -including here a nominalization of an oblique argument, and expressing interclausal relationships in complex sentences. The point under discussion is how some forms (case markers) are used iconically in order to express grammatical relations and discoursive constructions besides their meaning as localizersDownloads
