Resumen: Este estudio presenta un análisis comparativo entre dos novelas mexicanas: Pedro Páramo de Juan Rulfo y 1767. Una novela sobre el destierro de los jesuitas mexicanos de Pablo Soler Frost, basado en el uso y frecuencia de las perífrasis de infinitivo y gerundio. La estructura narrativa en la cual se desarrollan las perífrasis verbales corresponde a la narración y el diálogo. En este contexto de estudio, es posible ver que la frecuencia de estas perífrasis está en relación con la clase de estructura narrativa.
Infinitive and gerund verbal periphrases and narative modalities in Pedro Páramo and 1767
Abstract: This paper presents a comparative analysis of two Mexican novels: Pedro Páramo by Juan Rulfo and 1767: Una novela sobre el destierro de los jesuitas mexicanos by Pablo Soler Frost, based on the usage and frequency of infinitive and gerund periphrases. The narrative structure in which these periphrases are presented corresponds to the narration and dialogue. Within the context of this study, it can be noted that the frequency of these periphrases is related to the type of narrative structure.

Résumé: Cet article présente une analyse comparative entre deux romans mexicains, Pedro Páramo de Juan Rulfo et 1767. Una novela sobre el destierro de los jesuitas mexicanos de Pablo Soler Frost, basée sur l’utilisation et la fréquence de la périphrase en infinitif et gérondif. La structure narrative qui permet de développer la périphrase verbale correspond à la narration et le dialogue. Dans ce contexte, on peut constater que la fréquence de ces périphrases est liée au type de structure narrative.
