Resumen

Objetivos: i) examinar la proporción de estudiantes universitarios que cumple las recomendaciones canadienses de movimiento de 24 horas (Sueño + Pantalla + Actividad Física) durante el encierro por COVID-19; ii) determinar las variables de salud física y mental asociadas a su cumplimiento. Método: se seleccionó una muestra a conveniencia de 98 estudiantes universitarios (64 chicos y 34 chicas), con edad entre 18 y 25 años, que frecuentan la graduación en Ciencias del Deporte en la Universidad de Tras-os-Montes e Alto Douro, en Portugal. La actividad física auto informada se midió mediante el Cuestionario Internacional de Actividad Física (IPAQ); el tiempo frente a la pantalla se evaluó mediante dos preguntas en las que los participantes respondieron el total de horas y minutos, por día de la semana o fin de semana, que pasan viendo videos y jugando videojuegos, así como la duración y calidad del sueño durante los días de semana o del fin de semana. Resultados: el 30,6% de los estudiantes cumple con las recomendaciones de sueño, actividad física y comportamiento sedentario. La regresión logística multivariante demuestra que las variables asociadas al incumplimiento de alguna de las recomendaciones son: situación profesional del padre, desempleado o en layoff (OR = 10,412, IC 95%: 1,256-86,325), percepción de salud como mala y media (OR = 24.213, IC 95%: 1.323-443.074) y la variable sueño, más específicamente, quién nunca duerme bien y quién duerme bien algunas veces (OR = 8.896, IC 95%: 1.807-43.788). Conclusión: los estudiantes que no cumplieron con las recomendaciones, presentan un mayor riesgo de tener un sueño de menor calidad y de auto percibirse con menos salud.
