Abstract

This article is an essay dealing with seven spheres of bibliography: technical-methodological, historical, scientific, documentary, qualitative, educational, and informative. Each of these is based upon different points of view endorsed by subject specialists. Thus, throughout the text a series of terms is analyzed with the intent of clarifying a conceptual panorama that has been created in the field of bibliography. By this means the debate on the dividing lines of bibliography with respect to its meaning and its cognitive scope can be continued.
