A list of the 260 species of marine fish known from the coral islands of the Rosario and San Bernardo archipelagos (Colombian Caribbean) is presented, based on the collections and observations made by the authors during 76 hours of diving between 1982 and 1985. , and from the records published in the literature. For the Rosario Islands, 227 species are listed, of which 102 (45%) will be previously unknown in the archipelago. Of the San Bernardo islands, 181 species are included, 170 (94%) of which are recorded here for the first time for that island group.
