La investigación en arte. Cómo acceder a nuevas formas de expresión

Abstract

The fundamental ingredient of art is experience and in it the ability to break schemes, to go beyond what is established as a norm, notice other guidelines and transcend time. This article is not intended to dogmatize the effectiveness of a particular project, but to observe one possibility among many others. I am referring to research in art and the dynamics of the creative process, as a basis for artistic production. The concern here goes beyond the relationship between form and content to locate said production, in and from the formulation of art in terms of problems. "What problem has been raised and how is it elucidated and solved in the work?" The approach also refers to the ethical foundation of the artist. The action of art consists of printing an idea on a matter; both require a culture and a discipline to transform; without them, the artist is reduced to being just a decorator. In the end, the article warns of the danger of working from pre-established formulas and stimulates the spirit of permanent adventure. In the training process, although what the student says today is of interest, what he or she can say tomorrow will be of much more interest.
