Abstract


This work constitutes a critical review of the book The Conquered City, authored by Jordi Borja, published by Editorial Alianza in 2010. The objective of this review is to develop an analysis of the work, evaluating its possible contributions regarding the process of industrialization and urbanization, its consequences in public spaces, and life in the city. Specifically, it seeks to analyze how the content of the book can be applied to issues related to leisure in the city.
