This article analyzes Pablo Montoya’s Adiós a los Próceres, based on postnationalism reflections by Bernat Castany. Firstly, I briefly introduce the current discussion about the relationship between literature and nation. Subsequently, I establish two parts of analysis: a “destructive” one, in which I study the work’s criticisms to the nation´s concept and a “constructive” one, in which I identify Adiós a los Próceres’ postnational alternative and its link with the cosmopolitanism that characterizes Montoya’s literature.
