The pilgrimage of Feliciano Ríos and Peralta through heaven and hell, who with their picaresque wit defeated the Devil and subdued God

The stories “En la diestra de Dios Padre” by Carrasquilla and “Muerte y peregrinaciones ultraterrenas by the teacher Feliciano Ríos” by Arango Villegas, gather pica-resque, fantastic and oral aspects from Antioquia. The fantastic has Todorov as a reference, since heaven and hell are the chro-notope of the stories as fictional scenarios of the action. For critics in general, the rogue is a transgressor who, with the cor-rosive action of his discourse questions the Church and its val-ues. The article provides a look at other ways of understanding the legacy of the picaresque, infrequent in Colombian literature.
