Validación de inhibidores putativos de los transportadores de membrana de la familia MmpL de Mycobacterium tuberculosis como agentes antimicrobianos con potencial terapéutico

La tuberculosis es una enfermedad infectocontagiosa transmitida por el Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb). Este patógeno provocó 10 millones de contagios y 1,2 millones de muertes en el 2020. En Colombia, en el 2021, la tasa de incidencia de tuberculosis de todas las formas fue de 23.89 por cada 100.000 habitantes y presentó un aumento de 4.31 con respecto al 2020 (19.58 por 100.000 habitantes); no obstante, el número de casos sensibles al tratamiento convencional (rifampicina, isoniacida, etambutol y pirazinamida) es del 80 %, haciendo evidente la necesidad de nuevos agentes terapéuticos, ya que además hubo un 0.6 casos por cada 100.000 habitantes de tuberculosis farmacorresistente en el 2021 presentando un aumento de 0.14 con respecto al 2020.
