The current knowledge of the role of Helicobacter Pylori in several gastroduodenal diseases is reviewed. It includes chronic gastritis, gastric and duodenal ulcers and non- ulcerous dyspepsia. The following aspects are treated in this paper: history, microbiology. Clinical presentation, epidemiology, laboratory diagnosis, therapy and pathogenesis.
