Abstract

Succesful treatment of cerebral vasospasm by using percutaneous balloon angioplasty is reported in three cases. All patients were in bad condition with a short therapeutic window. All of them had a good recovery, both in terms of angiographic and clinical criteria. Use of endovascular therapy of spastic vessels by means of balloon percutaneous angioplasty in selected patients, is a good choice for treatment of cerebral vasospasm associated with spontaneous subarachnoid hemorrhage.
