Health and globalization: future Challenges for nursing care

Abstract

The present article is a reflection over the future paths for nursing care, from a globalization perspective, and its impacts over individual and coletive health. It discusses the implications of the spoiling and exclusive globalization model, and the nurses commitment to reflect over its effects on care. It has the intention of contributing to all people is health; the importance to acknowledge the plurality as a way to generate knowledge at nursing and health, and also the unity needed between emotion and reason. Finally, it discusses the educational challenges for the construction of the ethical subject, who is able to proceed with the transformations that Latin American nursing care requires and looks forward to.
