El acceso al conocimiento científico y matemática, al manejo tecnológico e informático, y al dominio fluido, de al menos un segundo idioma, son elementos que desde las áreas de la ingeniería y la tecnología abren posibilidades de formación y crecimiento y crecimiento integral a los seres humanos que tengan afinidad por estas disciplinas. La pobreza tiene directa relación con las dificultades en el acceso a la educación, de ahí los bajos logros en el nivel educativo que alcanzan las personas menos favorecidas.
