En este artículo se presenta un esbozo de la problemática de la modelación de datos. Se describen los principales modelos de datos conocidos resaltando sus bondades y deficiencias y utilizando un conjunto de referencias a artículos y textos de relevancia. Se exponen los requerimientos de nuevas aplicaciones intensivas de datos, que han originado investigaciones en la búsqueda de nuevos modelos que los satisfagan.Downloads
